Originating in South Africa this genus of small shrubs and trees with the flowers produced at the end of branch tips.
Popular in Australia for their drought tolerance and resilience in arid conditions their branches and flower tips with variegated colour make striking forms for cut flower arrangements.
This artwork has been created from an original illustration by myself Nicole Taylor-Stone. This particular designs is a section of my larger Leucadendron artwork. The drawing is then transferred to the reverse side of the paper and carefully hand cut from the single paper sheet by surgical blades. The remaining paper creates the black graphical image.
Original paper cut size: 126mm wide x 180mm height Finished frame size: 183mm x 230mm x 36mm Material: Black Mi-Teintes cotton rag paper, 2 glass layers, untreated natural finish pine frame
This item is available framed between two layers of glass in a floating style untreated natural finish pine frame. This framing style allows for the piece to be hung on a wall or free standing on a table surface, allowing light to pass through the design to express its detail and view the makers process.
As each artwork is created entirely by hand each design and I endeavour to repeat the design as close as possible will never be identical and may differ slightly from each other as well as the images provided. You will receive this design in concept and each piece is assured to be completely unique for you!
